The story of Ancamy began in 1972 in Grumo Nevano, Italy, guided by a simple idea: to create shoes that inspire women through design, premium materials, and a sense of effortless elegance.
Antonio Saviano founded the family’s first footwear studio, MAJA, where each model was produced in limited numbers and appreciated for its quality. Throughout the 1980s, the studio remained modest in size, but its reputation grew steadily. Clients began travelling from different regions to discover the distinctive style and attention to detail that defined the early collections.
In 1987, a new phase began when Carmela Pezzella, Antonio Landolfo, and Sossio Saviano joined the business. During this period, MAJA supported a broader phase of growth and early industrialisation. Even without a structured sales network, Sossio’s travels brought the collections to new international markets, helping the business expand its reach.
As the company evolved, so did its identity. From local production to a presence in international markets, the Saviano family continued to blend Italian heritage with a modern approach to footwear.
Today, MAJA remains the company’s established and widely recognised brand. Alongside it, the family presents Ancamy, a premium line defined by unique collections, refined silhouettes, and a clearer focus on lasting elegance. With the contribution of Salvatore Saviano, the third generation, Ancamy brings a fresh perspective to the company’s long history, offering a new way of wearing shoes built on quality and essential design.
